Substitution method

3x +y  = 10 ---> (1)

y  = x -2 ---> (2)

From (2) substitute the y  value in (1).

3x +x -2 = 10

4x -2 = 10

Add 2 to each side.

4x  = 12

Divide to each side by 4.

= 3

Substitute the value in (2).

y = 3-2

= 1

Intersection coordinate is (x ,y ) = (3,1).
