What is the weight , in newton's, of a 442g World Cup soccer ball? Covert this weight to pounds-force. (the conversion is 0.224lbf/N.)

Mass of the ,m=442 g

                           =0.442 kg

Acceleration due to gravity ,g = 9.81 m/s^2

 

Weight of the ball, W = mg

                                      =0.442*9.81

                                      =4.34 N

 

Convert the weight units from N to lbf

W =4.34 N*0.224 lgf/N

    =0.97216 lbf
