Given points say (x1,y1)= (-8,-2)and

(x2,y2) = (4,y)

Slope of the line m = y2-y1/x2-x1

y-(-2)/4-(-8) = 0

y+2/4+8 = 0

y+2/12 = 0

Multiple by 12 to each side.

y+2/12*12 = 0*12

y+2 = 0

Subtract 2 from each side.y+2-2 = 0-2

y = -2
