The equation is 3x + 5y - 30 = 0

Write the equation in slope-intercept form y = mx + b, where m is slope and b is y-intercept.

3x + 5y = 30

5y = 30 - 3x

y = - 3x/5 + 6

Compare the equation with slope-intercept form y = mx + b.

slope = -3/5 and y-intercept is 6.

y-intercept is 6, so the line crosses the y-axis at (0, 6)

Using slope find the next point.

Slope = rise/run = -3/5

Start at point (0, 6), move 3 units down and 5 units right, then plot the point (5, 3).

Draw a line through these points.

graph for the equation - x - 2y = 8
