-4x-9y = 5

Add 4x to each side.

-4x+4x-9y = 5+4x

-9y = 4x+5

Divide to each side by negitive 9.

-9y/-9 = (4x+5)/-9

y = (-4/9)x-5/9

Slope intercept form of given equation is y = (-4/9)x-5/9.

The slope - intercept - form of a line equation is y = mx + b, where m is slope, and b is y - intercept.
