Eliminaion mehod

Given equations are 2x-3y = 3 ----------> (1)

3x+3y = 18 -----------> (2)

To eliminate the y, add the equaions (1) and (2).

2x-3y = 3

3x+3y = 18

___________

5x =21

Divide To each side by 5.

5x/5 = 21/5

x = 21/5

Substiue he value of x in (1).

2*21/5-3y = 3

42/5-3y = 3

Subract 42/5 from each side.

42/5-42/5-3y = 3-42/5

-3y = (15-42)/5

-3y = -27/5

Divide to each side by negitive 3.

-3y/-3 = -27/5*3

y = 9/5

Solution x = 21/5 and y = 9/5.
