5x(2x + 3) - (3x - 5y)

Distribute terms using distributive property:  a( b + c) = ab + ac.

5x(2x) + 5x(3) - (3x - 5y)

10x2 + 15x - 3x + 5y

10x2 + 12x + 5y

Therefore 5x (2x +3) - (3x-5y) = 10x2 + 12x + 5y.
