The polynomial function is P(x) = x5 - 5x3 + 2x2 - x + 3.

Substitute x = 2 in the above polynomial function.

P(2) = (2)5 - 5(2)3 + 2(2)2 - (2) + 3

        = 32 - 40 + 8 - 2 + 3

        = 1.

The option B is correct.
