3)

Using cosine trigonometric function.

In △ XYZ,

cos 50° = adjacent side/hypotenuse

           =  XZ/XY

XY =XZ / cos 50°

     = 6.1/ cos 50°

     = 9.49

Option C is correct.

Missing side can be found using Pythagorean Theorem, in a right angle traingle

hypotenuse2= (Leg 1)2 + (Leg 2)2

AB2= AC2+ CB2

AB2=52+42

AB2=41

AB=√(41) = 6.4031

So, Option D is right choice.

Missing side can be found using Pythagorean Theorem, in a right angle traingle

hypotenuse2= (Leg 1)2 + (Leg 2)2

XY2= XZ2+ ZY2

ZY2= XY2- XZ2

ZY2=4.62-  3.52

AB=√(41) = 2.9849

So, Option C is right choice.
