Giiven point (1,5)

In the above coordinate pair x is halff coordnat and y is half coordinate.

origin (0,0) = (x2,y2)

Here x2 represents 1 and y2 represents 5

Slpoe is m = y2-y1/x2-x1

m = 5-0/1-0

m = 5

Equation is to line passing through (1,5)

y-y1 = m(x-x1)

y-5 = 5(x-1)

y-5 = 5x-5

Add 5 to each side.

y-5+5 = 5x-5+5

y = 5x

Direct variation equation for (1,5) is y = 5x.
