Multiplication in complex numbers (a+bi)(c+di) = (ac-bd)+(bc+ad)i

(-3+2i)(-4-8i)

Here a = -3, b = 2, c = -4, d = -8

= [(-3*-4)-2*-8)]+[(2*-4+(-3*-8)]i

= (12+16)+(-8+24)i

= 28+(16)i

= 28+16i
